
Course # and title: SOC207H5F: The Politics of Violence
Course description: This course will investigate various forms of violence and how politics factors into discussions about, and definitions of, violence. The focus is on the institutional and infrastructural aspects of violence (e.g. state, collective and/or revolutionary) rather than interpersonal forms of violence.

Rate of pay: $55.25/hr + 4% vacation pay

Minimum qualification
Candidates must have at least an MA in Sociology or related field. Must have record of excellence in the subjects covered in the course, demonstrated by referred published research, strong academic record and prior teaching assistantship experience
Preferred qualification: Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching assistant experience in the subject area.
