Job Description

The Service Quality Organization has an open position for a highly motivated self-starter who will lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives for the Legacy Alstom Technology value streams. The Value Stream Manager needs to be a self-driven individual, able to lead through influencing, comfortable with change who will lead continuous improvement for the value stream(s) within their scope. This leader will use lean problem-solving techniques to determine systemic root cause and implement countermeasures to drive sustainable service quality improvement.
The Value Stream Leader will work closely with cross-functional team members, including Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Lean and Quality functions, to accomplish the Value Stream objectives.

Responsibilities:
As a Value Stream Manager, you will:

  • Use a problem-solving framework to develop the cross functional Value Stream problem solving capability in collaboration with a Lean Coach.
  • Lead and provide direction to a Value Stream team composed of cross-functional, mission-based team members throughout the problem-solving cycle. Maintain the engagement of the Value Stream team members and influence functional leaders as necessary to ensure staffing and needed support.
  • Drive systemic problem-solving to root cause and sustain countermeasures through Value Stream standard work.
  • Pull in required support functions beyond the core Value Stream team as needed to collaboratively drive continued progress in the root cause analysis or countermeasure implementation.
  • Participate and present the problem-solving progress to Senior Leadership during Monthly Operating Reviews, leading deep dive reviews as needed.
  • Deploy corrective and preventative actions, ensuring sustainment of actions implemented
  • Represent GEV Quality in Legacy Thermal Service User Conferences
  • Actively participate in QRR/NPI reviews, identifying risks and collaborating to drive NPI solutions with Product Management and the cross functional teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Significant operational experience in GT Operations, Project Management, Engineering, leading cross functional teams, Quality or equivalent
  • English fluency
  • Travel as needed to support problem-solving and team-building

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $123,700.00 and $206,100.00 The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
