The Services Offer Execution Category Manager within the N.A. Solutions Category team will report to the HP Solutions Senior Manager within the North America market, reporting to the HP Solutions Global Business Unit. This is an individual contributor role with focus on Lifecycle (Support) Services with accountability to work across all customer segments plus channel. The individual will drive execution of programs and initiatives within the market working collaboratively with the GTM team, the inside services sales org, the generalist sales teams and channel. They will work with the market team to execute programs, enable sales and execute all operational and tactical activities. Through this position, the individual will be expected to routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives as a subject matter expert. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice to make decisions on complex business issues.

  • Drives activities that have significant impact on North America growth of Lifecycle (Support) Services Product Lines. Drives results within targeted business/ customer/channel segments for print transactional services.

  • Engages with sales teams to drive services attach in every deal, every day; create new energy and momentum in market for new service offerings.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Contributes and actively participates in defining the category business plan and strategies to drive growth and profitability.

  • Collaborates with various internal teams from marketing, sales, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category plans.

  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales performance to identify areas for improvement.

  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges/strategies.

  • Supporting HP Sales audience by being a go-to resource for Lifecycle (Support) Services.

  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.

  • Working with the sales teams to identify opportunities.

  • Datamining for customer opportunities, naked deals, customer targets.

  • Developing, Managing and Executing Lifecycle Services Program, Incentives, and Offers.

  • Drive education and training with HP Sales audience on Lifecycle Services.

  • Channel Support Efforts.

  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to enable effective communication internally and externally.

  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills – both F2F and virtual. Ability to simplify a complex message to drive knowledge retention and application in a sales role.

  • Problem solving ability is developed with ability to lead and inspire teams under pressure situations, exercising independent judgment.

  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.

  • Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

  • May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Education and Certifications preferred:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically, 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is$133,950to$210,300USD annually with a80%/20%(salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
