Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Services Manager to oversee and coordinate all construction services for Data Centre projects, from design through to commissioning and handover. This role will be responsible for managing HV/LV electrical, Building Management Systems (BMS), mechanical, fire, security, hydraulic, and telecommunications services, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and delivering projects to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all construction services (HV/LV electrical, BMS, mechanical, fire, security, and telecommunications) from design through to commissioning.

  • Select, engage, and manage contractors and suppliers related to construction services.

  • Oversee contract negotiations, variations, and cost control, ensuring efficient project progression.

  • Manage BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordination to support efficient design and construction integration.

  • Develop and implement quality control plans and proactively manage project risks.

  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Lead HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) management for critical services tasks and site requirements.

  • Engage with key stakeholders and clients, providing regular updates and progress reports.

  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, ensuring a smooth Integrated Systems Testing (IST) process and project handover.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing construction services for data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial projects.

  • Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical, mechanical, BMS, and fire services in a data centre environment.

  • Experience in contractor and supplier management, including contract negotiations.

  • Solid understanding of BIM coordination and digital construction processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian building standards, NCC, and compliance regulations.

  • Experience in HSEQ management, particularly in high-risk environments.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills.

  • Experience managing Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and commissioning processes.
