The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for supervising warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping. This role ensures efficient material handling and compliance with safety and quality standards. This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles.
This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium organization.
Oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Assign tasks and monitor performance of warehouse staff.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely material flow.
Train and mentor team members on warehouse best practices.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically requires a technical degree and several years of relevant work experience to be able to manage and coordinate one or more professional-level teams.
Additional qualifications:
Experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
