About the Opportunity
The Service Consultant is responsible for all phases of onboarding a new client to Dayforce’s system or assisting an existing client upgrading to a new Dayforce processing product. They collaborate within a project team to deliver effective solutions aligned with our commitment to reliable, repeatable, and high-quality implementation practices.
What You’ll Get to Do
• Translate business process requirements into configuration requirements for the Dayforce solution purchased, across varying levels of complexity.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team to complete implementations.
• Promote teamwork by building strong working relationships with internal resources, customers, and peers.
• Work independently to resolve project issues, escalating when appropriate.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of WFM, Payroll, Benefits, and exposure to related sub-functions such as Finance, benefits administration, labour relations, training development, and technical environments.
• Conduct preliminary client interviews to review changes, needs, and processes, including formal needs analysis and gap/fit analysis.
• Prepare clients for implementation completion by reviewing processes, running interfaces, and providing hands-on training for first live payroll.
• Test and document custom solutions, applying analytical skills to resolve unprecedented problems.
• Design and execute system integration and user acceptance tests.
• Ensure quality of implementation by reviewing back-end changes, verifying credentials, and confirming billing/remittance setups.
• Facilitate a smooth transition to the support team.
• Contribute to project plans, ensuring projects are on time, exceed client expectations, and follow internal processes.
• Working Hours: Midday shift.
Skills and Experience We Value
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology (or a related field).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Dayforce preferred.
• Exposure to basic project management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Bilingual (English and French, written and spoken).
• Experience with SaaS/Cloud software; HRIS experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and XML.
• Experience with applications such as Salesforce, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll.
• Ability to effectively implement an HRIS module or similar end-to-end solution.
