Job Description

The Service Business Operations Leader will drive business processes and own the wing-to-wing P&L for GE HealthCare Services, Northeast Africa. He/she will work cross-functionally to drive first class service contract process execution, data accuracy, billing excellence and P&L productivity.

Business & Financial Management

  • Own and drive the Services P&L for the NEA region, including revenue execution, cost control, and productivity initiatives
  • Identify, execute, and track P&L improvement initiatives in collaboration with local and regional stakeholders
  • Provide financial and operational analytics to support revenue growth, cost optimization, and informed decision‑making
  • Support Finance during month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities

Contract & Billing Operations

  • Oversee customer contract lifecycle management in Service ERPs, including contract creation, modification, renewals, and terminations
  • Ensure timely, accurate billing for contract and time‑and‑materials services
  • Actively support cash collection efforts through resolution of invoicing disputes in coordination with Finance, Service Sales, and Field Service teams

Data Quality & Process Excellence

  • Drive high standards of data integrity across Installed Base, Contracts, Warranty, and related service systems
  • Own and execute Service End‑of‑Life (EOL) processes
  • Monitor and improve key service KPIs, ensuring operational discipline and performance excellence
  • Ensure full compliance with quality, audit, and regulatory requirements

Customer & Commercial Support

  • Maintain accountability for profitability
  • Provide service agreement and time‑and‑materials program management
  • Support sales campaigns, contract renewals, new service agreements, and proposal development

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a team with direct people management responsibility, including staffing, performance management, and capability development
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Service, Sales, Finance, Parts, Repair, and Transactional teams
  • Interface regularly with the EAGM Business Operations team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement
  • Act as a subject‑matter resource for colleagues, mentoring less‑experienced team members and leading low‑to‑moderate complexity initiatives

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive work experience in a business environment
  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
  • Experience in team management
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive process improvement
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills: Ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
