The SPM Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions. The role develops and customizes forms, lists, workflows, business logic, workspaces, and dashboards while ensuring technical quality, maintainability, and compliance with platform standards. Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects, the developer translates business requirements into scalable ServiceNow SPM solutions using Flow Designer, JavaScript, Business Rules, UI Builder, and Platform Analytics. The role also supports testing, troubleshooting, and Level 2 support activities throughout the solution lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow SPM solutions.
• Configure and develop forms, lists, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and other SPM platform components.
• Design and implement business processes using Flow Designer.
• Develop business logic using JavaScript and Business Rules.
• Configure and customize SPM Workspaces using UI Builder.
• Design and configure Platform Analytics dashboards and reports for SPM processes.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems where required.
• Perform unit, functional, and integration testing, preferably using the Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Ensure technical quality through debugging, monitoring, logging, and root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with governance and development standards.
• Support incident resolution, maintenance activities, and Level 2 support.

What You'll Bring Along

• Minimum 3-5 years experience developing and configuring ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions
• Proven hands-on experience developing and configuring ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solutions.
• Practical experience with Forms, Lists, Flow Designer, JavaScript, Business Rules, UI Builder, and Platform Analytics.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow SPM data model and platform architecture.
• Capable of independently estimating implementation effort and planning development activities based on user stories.
• Experience with testing methodologies, including the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Works confidently with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or SAFe) and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Ideally relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS-SPM, or CTA).
• Strong ownership, a hands-on mindset, flexibility, and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Professional proficiency in English and German is required.
