Job Description

Leidos is looking for a software engineer to provide ServiceNow development support. The development and successful implementation of this model requires experience with multiple IT skill sets, including AGILE project management, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) integration and configuration, specifically ServiceNow (SN), SN application design and development, enhancement, SN security risk management, and familiarity with requirements for system certification and accreditation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Customer delivers human capital management technologies and services to the workforce, including data analytics that enable business decisions. They seek to build an integrated enterprise IT support model to drive efficiencies in the talent space and better address strategic requirements associated with learning, training compliance, foreign language development and retention, job advertisements, selection, and performance. The development and successful implementation of this model requires experience with multiple IT skill sets, including AGILE project management, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) integration and configuration, specifically ServiceNow (SN), SN application design and development, enhancement, SN security risk management, and familiarity with requirements for system certification and accreditation.
  • The Software Engineer will work from core hours from 0900 hours to 1500 hours with alternative works schedules discussed on a case-by-case basis.
  • The Software Engineer will follow an Agile methodology for SN software development.
  • The Software Engineer will support the implementation of the Customer's identified objectives and priorities for SN features and functions and actively contribute to the AGILE methodology for software implementation.
  • The Software Engineer will support the implementation of security and development requirements as required by their applications.
  • The Software Engineer will follow the Customer's document management plan that addresses documents required for all their applications and systems, their storage locations and versioning requirements.
  • The Software Engineer will support the implementation of SN reference architecture and documentation as required for Sponsors SN platform.
  • The Software Engineer will design, develop, maintain and document code in support of software applications, databases and cloud services following industry best practices.
  • The Software Engineer will conduct unit, functional, and user testing.

Basic Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will meet all of the listed skills/experiences but this person will work within a team, the client has the ability to approve candidates who meet most of the listed skills/experiences:

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with poly to be considered.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with development of ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience implementing industry best practices and associated technical solutions consistent with accessibility standards.
  • Experience using agile methodology.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Experience proposing recommendations that provide business value while supporting business goals and objectives, with an emphasis on improving User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), reducing O&M, increasing quality and speed of delivery, transforming, and modernizing web-based application, system, and service components.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting web-based application, system, or service components and associated interfaces, including those with databases and web services/APIs to assist in decision-making regarding future development.
  • Experience interfacing with web-based databases and providing reports generation.
  • On-job experience with version control software like Github or Subversion.
  • Experience in managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, using service management systems.
  • Experience developing IT support documents that include SOPs, digital IT workflows, IT knowledge base, pre and post deployment checklists, IT architectural diagrams, system security plans, and administrative processes.
  • Experience working with compliance or performance management applications.

Certification Requirements:

  • Service Now Developer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Sponsor and partner IT organizations.
  • Experience working with learning applications.
  • Experience working with language, compliance, and performance management applications.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Experience with networking and platform hosting technologies.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with copyright and accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.0 AA).
  • Experience with Tableau.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
