
The Role
We are looking to hire a ServiceNow Development Engineer, who brings strong technical expertise, a mindset that embodies the unique Moderna Mindsets, and a passion for delivering the best digital experience to our employees. You will join our team and be responsible for developing and supporting our ServiceNow platform, driving automation, and optimizing business processes. You will help us deliver more value from our existing ServiceNow capabilities and help us grow the platform and digitize departments across Moderna.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Leverage knowledge and experience to deliver end-to-end solutions on the ServiceNow platform
Responsible for the development, core configuration, and technical expertise of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and PA.
Design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting of each (including Service Portal).
Develop system integrations using REST, SOAP, MID-servers, or other relevant technologies.
Facilitate discovery of CI’s and work with class owners to setup identification and reconciliation rules.
Conduct code walkthrough/reviews and mentor junior team members in application of platform and code best practices.
Actively participate in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily, documenting development progress, and collaborating across teams.
Actively participate in requirement workshops, working alongside the product owner, and development manager, to configure requested items and tasks using Flow Designer.
Understand and articulate to the team, development manager, and product owner the tradeoffs of customized solutions vs. base configuration implementation.
Remediate production incidents as well as coordinate application and platform upgrades. Promoting apps and updates through the app store and update sets.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology or scientific field OR 5 years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
6+ years of expertise developing on the ServiceNow platform in 2 or more capabilities (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and PA.).
1 or more active ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator, ITSM, App Specialist).
3+ years of experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through REST, SOAP, MID-servers, or other relevant technologies.
3+ years of experience with HTML5, JAVA, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Angular.js.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of all aspects of ServiceNow scripting including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Builder, Scripted REST APIs, and Script Includes.
Experience with discovery and CMDB including an understanding of MID server architecture, probes and sensors, and CMDB identification and reconciliation.
Experience communicating with application users to understand and collect their requirements and requests.
Educational or job-related experience documenting technical systems and user workflows.
Experience working in life sciences, pharma/biotech, or high-tech industries with a preference for experience in one or more of eCommerce, data/machine learning platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
Experience in a regulated environment.
Experience working in a matrixed organization.

Location-specific perks and extras
The salary range for this role is $121,600.00 - $194,500.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
