• Define and govern the overall architecture, strategy, and roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, performance, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and enforce platform best practices, technical governance, and upgrade strategies.
• Oversee platform health through monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and recommend new ServiceNow features, modules, technologies, and integrations to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and define standards for platform customizations, integrations, and solution design.
• Lead platform-level change management, communication, and user adoption initiatives for releases and enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to align platform capabilities with organizational needs.
• Conduct security reviews, vulnerability management, and ensure adherence to data governance policies.
• Define, track, and report key platform KPIs such as performance, adoption, and usability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, integration mappings, and technical standards.
• Support platform lifecycle management, including release planning, upgrades, and continuous optimization.
• Work closely with security, compliance, data governance, and development teams to ensure consistent platform alignment.
• University degree in informatics, computer science, or a related field, or alternative training with relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of total IT experience, with at least 3 years of relevant ServiceNow platform experience in architectural or administrative roles.
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture, including governance, scalability, and security.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow integrations, data modeling, and instance management.
• Experience in defining platform strategies, roadmaps, and governance models in large organizations.
• Proven experience in platform upgrades, performance optimization, and health monitoring.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and aligning platform capabilities with business objectives.
• Experience with ITIL, Agile methodologies, and project management practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence business and IT leadership.
• Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, SPM is highly beneficial.
• Experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written, German is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive platform adoption and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with ServiceNow innovations and industry trends.
• Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), and ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.
