Job Description

The Legal Office Support role helps keep the organization running smoothly behind the scenes by supporting Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance teams. In this role, you’ll assist with document management, tracking important deadlines, coordinating projects, and helping ensure the organization meets legal and regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, detail-focused work and is interested in learning more about legal, compliance, or healthcare operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Maryland resident
  • Individuals eligible for the Maryland Service Year Program (generally ages 18–24)
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in an office, administrative, legal, compliance, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong organization and attention to detail
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Interest in legal, risk, compliance, or ethics-related work

What You’ll Do

  • Support Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Prepare documents, reports, and presentations using templates
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files
  • Track contracts, deadlines, and document requests
  • Assist with compliance training tracking and surveys
  • Help maintain records for audits, regulatory requirements, and internal programs
  • Support incident tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Assist with meetings, presentations, and department projects
  • Help maintain tracking systems and databases used by the department

  • You’ll often work on multiple projects at once, shifting between tasks like document preparation, tracking deadlines, and supporting audits
