Residential Service Tradesman Plumber

Reports To: Service Manager / Master Plumber
The Residential Service Tradesman Plumber is responsible for performing plumbing service, repair, and minor installation work in residential homes only. This position requires a current Tradesman Plumber-Limited license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. The role focuses exclusively on residential service calls and does not involve commercial plumbing projects.
The Tradesman works under the supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber and is expected to deliver high-quality workmanship while providing exceptional customer service to homeowners.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, fixture failures, and water pressure problems
- Install and replace plumbing fixtures such as faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and water heaters
- Perform drain cleaning and minor pipe repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair water heaters (gas and electric)
- Conduct basic plumbing system inspections
- Provide accurate service recommendations and explain repair options to homeowners
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools
- Complete service reports, invoices, and required documentation
- Ensure all work complies with Texas plumbing codes and company standards
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while in customers’ homes
Qualifications
- Active Tradesman Plumber-Limited license issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
- 2+ years of residential plumbing experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with residential water heaters, fixtures, and drain systems
- Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check (required for residential service work)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas

Work Environment
Work is performed exclusively in residential homes. The position requires travel to service calls, working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions. Evening or weekend service calls may be required.
