Position Summary
Anderson Powersports in Reno, NV is seeking an Off-Road Technician to join our service department. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in their craft, enjoys solving complex mechanical problems, and wants to be part of a professional, high-performing shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on off-road powersports vehicles including ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, fuel systems, and electrical systems
- Complete engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, and performance upgrades
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic tools and service manuals to accurately identify and resolve issues
- Assist and mentor other technicians with difficult diagnostics and repairs
- Conduct final quality inspections on completed repairs to ensure safety, reliability, and proper operation
- Accurately document diagnostics, labor times, parts used, and service notes within the service management system
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs, timelines, and parts requirements
- Stay current with manufacturer service bulletins, new models, and evolving technologies
- Assist with warranty diagnostics and documentation according to manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a powersports technician or similar mechanical role
- Expert knowledge of ATV, UTV, dirt bike, and side-by-side systems
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Experience performing engine, drivetrain, electrical, and suspension repairs
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency using diagnostic scanners and manufacturer software
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a professional shop environment
