Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Install propane tanks and related equipment in full compliance with NFPA 58/54 and all state/local regulations.
  • Complete any required state licensing, certifications, and ongoing training.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain your truck in excellent working condition.
  • Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day.
  • Provide seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle when needed.
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately to the General Manager.
  • Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in an on‑call rotation as business needs require.

What You’ll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

  • Shadow a senior technician to learn our safety standards, installation methods, and customer service expectations.
  • Complete onboarding training for CDL endorsements, propane safety, and state-specific compliance requirements.
  • Begin performing supervised tank installations and equipment servicing to build proficiency with EDP processes.
  • Learn our service order and documentation systems to complete work independently and accurately.

Must Haves

  • Class A OR B CDL
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • TSA Clearance Approved Hazardous Materials

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in after-hours on‑call rotation

Nice to Haves

  • 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or related technical work
  • Familiarity with propane systems, NFPA standards, and industry regulations
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn propane installation practices
  • Strong customer communication and professional presence
  • Basic computer skills for service orders and documentation

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate for this role is $32-45 hourly (depending on experience)
