Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out minor periodic vehicle servicing and maintenance in accordance with MG guidelines and IEM SOPs.
• Inspect, repair, and replace worn or faulty vehicle components as per assigned job orders.
• Perform Vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet required quality standards.
• Use vehicle diagnostic scanning tools (VDS) to identify, read, and erase vehicle faults.
• Assist Repair and Diagnostic Technicians with repair and diagnostic activities as required.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through formal training and learning to stay updated with evolving automotive technologies.
• Maintain and manage the required inventory of standard technician tools and equipment.
• Provide clear and accurate write-ups of tasks performed and highlight any observations or safety-related concerns to the superior.
• Ensure accurate clock-in and clock-out against assigned job orders in accordance with standard procedures.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Controller regarding vehicle status and with the Parts Advisor to obtain the correct parts required for repairs.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and perform all duties in line with company policies and SOPs.
• Maintain a professional attitude, good personal appearance, and high standards of workplace discipline.
• Ensure company assets, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to all company health, safety, quality, and environmental (QHSE) procedures and regulations.
• Perform any additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Role Purpose

To ensure vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to the required quality standards, delivering reliable vehicle performance and customer satisfaction while adhering to MG guidelines, IEM SOPs, and company health and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Service Technician, Automotive Technician, or in a similar capacity.

Education: Higher Diploma in Mechanics or a relevant automotive technical qualification.

Certification(s): Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification is required.

Languages: Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are preferred.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, basic vehicle diagnostics, PDI procedures, and the use of automotive diagnostic scanning tools.

Computer Skills: Computer literacy and basic knowledge of standard computer applications are required.

Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accountability, positive attitude, adaptability, teamwork, effective communication, willingness to learn, and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
