The Role

CMS Engineering is seeking a qualified and motivated Service Technician to join our Perth team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out service calls, repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance across a range of commercial HVAC and mechanical building services systems. Working closely with our Service Coordinator, clients, and site teams, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out service calls, repairs, breakdown response, and routine preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions
  • Completing all required service documentation and reports accurately and on time
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing a high level of service
  • Identifying opportunities for additional maintenance or improvement works
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices through ongoing training and development
  • Communicating with the Service Coordinator throughout the day regarding job status and completion
  • Identifying workplace hazards and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards
  • Participating in the on-call roster as required

Your Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Services
  • Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (essential)
  • Restricted Electrical Licence (essential)
  • Current White Card (essential)
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to mentor apprentices and support team development
  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
