About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.

The Service Technician independently provides machinery sales and service support to clients, includes installation, maintenance, repair and testing of equipment and systems. The role provides technical expertise, high-quality service, and strong customer support to achieve branch sales and earnings targets. It requires strong diagnostic capability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality outcomes and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, repair and testing of equipment and systems in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults, ensuring machinery and equipment are operating effectively.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections while complying with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and legislation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members, including mentoring junior technicians where required.
• Manage inventory including stock control, parts sourcing, availability, stocktakes and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high-quality customer service and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet service delivery deadlines while ensuring solutions are cost-effective and support branch sales and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate service records, report hazards, near misses and incidents, and keep up to date with industry trends and technologies.

About You

• Relevant experience in a similar technical servicing role, including welding and electrical fault finding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and drawings.
• Strong customer focus, with a genuine interest in supporting operational outcomes and business goals.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse technical issues and deliver practical solutions.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Experience using servicing software and diagnostic tools to support maintenance and repairs.
