Supermicro is seeking a Service Technician (ST) that will be responsible for field work in local area. The ST will work majority of their team at our Supermicro office location. There will be occasions to go to customer site to resolve and repair server systems. The ST are a critical part of post-sales support and need to be able to demonstrate exceptional technical aptitude in working with server products in addition to excellent interpersonal skills. We will be looking for individuals who enjoy problem solving and working as part of a larger team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems in the server hardware field for our international customers both remotely and at the client’s site.
  • Deliver effective communication to clients on different aspects of IT to maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation within our systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues.
  • Support many different projects within the Global Service team.

Qualifications:

This is an entry-level role with training from ground up provided. We are looking for someone with a good attitude and a positive mindset.

  • Good problem solving skills.
  • No previous experience required but is a bonus.
  • English skill needs to be business level or above.
  • Driving license is not required but is a bonus.
  • Able to work physically is also a bonus (installing servers and replacing parts may require you to physically lift items).
