Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lighting Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair interior and exterior lighting systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality service to commercial clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain lighting systems including LED, fluorescent, HID, and control systems.
• Perform service calls for lighting outages, ballast/driver failures, wiring issues, and control malfunctions.
• Install new lighting fixtures, lamps, drivers, ballasts, sensors, and lighting controls.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Safely operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and timelines.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Evening or weekend work may be required for certain service calls.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in lighting or electrical service (preferred).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and lighting controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and work independently.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• 50% possible travel required using company vehicle.
