Job Description

HammondCare Waratah is currently looking for a Part Time Weekend Kitchen Stores Person to join our Team.

HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the resident's needs as our number one priority. As a Kitchen Stores Person, you will support our model of care by ensuring food stock, consumables, and kitchen supplies are received, stored, rotated, and distributed efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality meals to our residents.

Working closely with the Kitchen and Hospitality teams, you will play an important role in maintaining food safety standards, stock levels, and an organised stores environment.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have previous experience working within a kitchen, hospitality, aged care, or stores environment (desirable).
  • Have an understanding of food safety and safe food handling practices.
  • Be able to work Saturday & Sunday 07:30am – 14:00pm both days
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be physically capable of performing manual handling tasks, including receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Have the ability to monitor stock levels and rotate stock appropriately.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Display excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised storeroom environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Receive, unpack, and check food and kitchen deliveries.
  • Organise and store stock in accordance with food safety requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
  • Ensure refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods are stored correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within kitchen storage areas.
  • Support the Kitchen team by ensuring supplies are available to meet resident needs.
  • Build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
