The Service Station Network Manager is a strategic, commercially focused leadership role responsible for building, expanding, and managing World Fuel’s branded service station network across Ecuador

The initial mandate is to secure a minimum of ten affiliated service stations, ensuring their successful onboarding and long‑term retention through strong commercial partnerships, brand compliance, operational oversight, and reliable product supply. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation capability, and the ability to build trusted relationships with station owners while representing World Fuel’s brand and values in the Ecuadorian market.

Key Responsibilities

Network Expansion & Commercial Development

  • Prepare and present compelling business cases that clearly articulate the value proposition and competitive advantages of affiliating with World Fuel.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify high‑potential regions, competitive dynamics, and expansion opportunities.

Brand Compliance & Operational Oversight

  • Ensure all affiliated stations comply with World Fuel brand standards, corporate image guidelines, and operational protocols.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess service quality, safety standards, visual presentation, and overall customer experience.
  • Monitor correct usage of branding elements, signage, uniforms, and promotional materials across the network.
  • Coordinate and support brand activation initiatives to strengthen visibility and market positioning.

Supply Chain & Product Delivery Coordination

  • Oversee and coordinate with internal Supply teams to ensure reliable, timely, and uninterrupted fuel deliveries to affiliated stations.
  • Work closely with terminals, transport providers, and logistics partners to resolve delivery, scheduling, or dispatch challenges.
  • Monitor delivery documentation, dispatch accuracy, and compliance with safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with station owners, operators, vendors, and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial, operational, and administrative matters related to the station network.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to station partners to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyze sales volumes, margins, and commercial performance at both station and network levels.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership covering network growth, commercial results, operational risks, and market insights.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, risk mitigation, and value creation across the network.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the fuel retail industry, ideally in commercial, operations, or network management roles.
  • Proven success negotiating with service station owners and managing branded or affiliated station networks.
  • Strong understanding of Ecuador’s fuel market, regulatory framework, and supply chain operations.
  • Advanced skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership, and stakeholder management.
  • Strategic mindset with strong organizational and execution capabilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong proficiency in standard business systems and the ability to prepare analytical and commercial reports.
