Salary Range: $30.00 - $43.00 Hourly,

Job Category: Automotive, The Shop Foreman directly supervises service technicians, including assigning work, coaching performance, and overseeing daily shop operations. They are responsible for overseeing all technicians performing internal repair and service work in the facility. This position provides day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and quality control to ensure efficient operations, adherence to safety and company standards, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

A Day in the Life

• Lead shop technicians by assigning work, setting priorities, and providing direction throughout the day.
• Monitor repair times, productivity, and work quality, and coach technicians when needed.
• Make decisions on complex repairs and help the team resolve issues that affect workflow.
• Ensure repair orders, warranty work, and required paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Address customer concerns and work with other departments to keep repairs moving.
• Maintain a safe, organized shop and ensure the team follows company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education –

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience/Training –

• Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel engine or heavy-duty equipment repair
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading or supervising employees.
• Cummins engine experience or certification.
• ASE certifications or equivalent manufacturer training.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations –

• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
