A vacancy has arisen within our Aerospace and Transportation Division based out of Gatwick for a Service Sales Lead.
The Service Sales Lead contributes to the success of Liebherr – Great Britain Ltd by owning the end-to-end service sales and offer process for service projects and spare parts.
The role is responsible for managing and coordinating the preparation, submission, and follow-through of service offers for overhauls, modifications, repair campaigns, and spare parts, ensuring they are technically accurate, commercially robust, and aligned with business objectives and delivery capability.
• Service Sales & Opportunity Management; Own the end-to-end service sales and offer process for service projects and spare parts, including overhauls, modifications, repair campaigns, and spares.
• Act as the coordinating point between internal functions to ensure offers are complete, compliant, and submitted on time.
• Project Offer & Bid Coordination; Coordinate the preparation of technical, commercial, and pricing inputs for service project offers in line with customer and internal requirements.
• Manage internal reviews, approvals, and customer clarifications through to offer award or closure.
• Spares Quotation Management; Manage the preparation, issue, and follow-up of spare parts quotations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with availability and lead times. Monitor quotation status and conversion to support improved responsiveness and hit rate.
• Forecasting, Pipeline & Order Book Visibility; Maintain accurate visibility of service project and spares opportunities to support forecasting and operational planning.
• Ensure awarded work is clearly handed over to Service Delivery and Operations.
• Customer Engagement & Professional Representation; Support effective customer communication throughout the offer and quotation process.
• Act as a professional ambassador for Liebherr values, behaviours, and standards.
• Commercial Governance & Continuous Improvement; Ensure all offers and quotations comply with Liebherr commercial governance and approval processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of service sales processes, tools, and ways of working.
• Cross-Functional Alignment & Handover; Work closely with the Service Delivery Lead to ensure a clear and structured handover of awarded work into delivery.
• Engage with the Shopfloor Operations Lead during the offer phase to understand capability, capacity, and health & safety requirements prior to offer submission.
The successful candidate will require the following:
• Experience in a service, sales, or commercial support role within an engineering or technical environment
• Organised and detail-oriented
• Confident communicator at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple quotations and priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Rail, transportation, or regulated industry experience
• Experience in aftermarket / MRO service sales
• Commercial, business, or engineering-related qualification
• Good numerical and commercial awareness
