The Service Sales Account Manager – support customers across British Columbia by promoting and selling Hitachi Energy’s Engineering & Service portfolio. You will help utilities and industrial organizations strengthen the reliability, performance, and lifespan of critical power system assets by aligning their operational goals with advanced service solutions. You will build trusted customer relationships, contribute to grid modernization efforts, and support the adoption of technologies that improve safety, reliability, and asset performance. Your work enables customers to optimize their installed base, make informed decisions, and implement service strategies tailored to their operational needs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage, expand, and strengthen service business with key accounts in the British Columbia utility and industrial sectors.
  • Build strong, long‑term customer relationships by understanding needs and aligning solutions with short‑ and long‑term objectives.
  • Drive sales volume across the full Engineering packaging & Service portfolio.
  • Prepare customer and regional sales plans in partnership with marketing and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop regional market opportunities in collaboration with market managers.
  • Monitor customer and market trends to shape effective sales and marketing approaches.
  • Grow and manage the opportunity pipeline and maintain accurate forecasting using Salesforce.
  • Review installed base information, analyze opportunities, and propose paths that leverage asset intelligence.
  • Maintain market insights on competitive positioning to support commercial decision‑making.
  • Demonstrate core values of safety and integrity while supporting colleagues and business goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Engineering degree, bachelor’s degree, technologist diploma, or proven outside sales experience.
  • Minimum total of 5 years professional experience with at least 3 years’ directly involved with customer contact and selling large project solutions.
  • Knowledge of the energy market and competitors, including sales experience with Utilities, Developers, EPCs, Data Centers, Oil & Gas, and Renewables.
  • Knowledge of transformers, High voltage equipment, protection & control, and substation equipment.
  • Proven ability to sell service offerings.
  • Ability to influence and challenge internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Ability to present and promote new technology solutions, including digital information tools.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
