Job Description

The Service Processing Specialist is accountable for service requests as they move through the service lifecycle, ensuring timely progress and effective coordination across teams. This role plays a critical part in facilitating communication between internal processing partners and assigned agencies, helping to remove barriers, resolve issues, and meet turnaround expectations. The position serves as a central point of contact and relationship manager, rather than directly performing transaction processing. Over time, this role will expand to support coordination and communication for Claims-related work as additional responsibilities are integrated.

• This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) and partially from home.

What you do:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned agencies, providing updates, setting expectations, and ensuring a high level of service.
  • Coordinate with internal processing teams to move service requests forward and ensure timely completion.
  • Proactively monitor work in progress, identifying delays, gaps, or risks and driving resolution.
  • Communicate requirements, outstanding items, and status updates clearly between agencies and internal teams.
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve complex or high-priority service issues, including escalations.
  • Ensure service requests meet quality, compliance, and completeness standards throughout the process.
  • Track and analyze workflow and operational trends, identifying opportunities to improve turnaround time and service experience.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with both internal partners and external agencies.
  • May provide guidance to entry-level team members on workflow coordination and communication best practices.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities and participate in projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Support evolving responsibilities, including future coordination with Claims teams as processes and scope expand.
  • While the role is not primarily responsible for transaction processing, the ability to complete select service transactions may be required from time to time to support business needs.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, service coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work forward without direct ownership of processing tasks.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on removing obstacles and improving outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking and coordinating work.
