Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.

We are looking for a talented Service Parts Associate to join our Distribution business in (Farmington, NM).

100% Onsite

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support customers by phone and in person by identifying, sourcing, and supplying parts solutions.
  • Process customer orders, quotes, returns, and transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers by providing timely support and resolving issues.
  • Utilize parts catalogs, systems, and technical resources to identify and procure parts in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Support shipping, receiving, inventory management, warehouse activities, and stock control processes.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell related products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation while ensuring a clean and organized parts counter and warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Experience providing customer service in a parts, warehouse, retail, automotive, or distribution environment.
  • Ability to process orders, manage transactions, and support customers through the order lifecycle.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/order management systems.
  • Understanding of inventory control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

On call every other week

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
