What’s the role?

As Service Owner, Pricing, you’ll provide leadership across Westpac Group’s mortgage pricing strategy, operations and capability. You’ll be responsible for how home loans are priced across brands and distribution channels, ensuring pricing decisions balance strong commercial outcomes with fair and consistent customer experiences.

You’ll lead the Mortgage Pricing squad and oversee the Pricing Escalations Team, setting strategic direction and supporting effective pricing approvals and escalation processes. Working closely with distribution, product, technology and risk partners, you’ll also play a key role in strengthening pricing capability and systems and driving ongoing transformation of the pricing ecosystem.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney, with a hybrid working model that supports flexibility and collaboration.

What do I need?

You’ll bring the experience and judgement to lead pricing outcomes at scale, balancing commercial performance, customer fairness and risk considerations. To be successful, you’ll demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of retail banking products, with the ability to apply pricing principles in a way that supports sustainable growth and positive customer outcomes.
  • Commercial acumen, including the ability to assess profitability drivers and translate insight into clear pricing recommendations.
  • Proven people leadership capabilities, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and setting clear direction in complex environments.
  • The confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, providing advice and recommendations that consider both customer impact and commercial outcomes.
  • The ability to navigate complex technology ecosystems and lead change initiatives that improve pricing processes, controls and decision making.
