About Bering Global Solutions

Global Solutions (BGS) provides service under multiple North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes to include information management, information protection, and information assurance. Our business competencies are information technology management, asset/inventory program management and configuration management, e-authentication, and information protection/assurance. Bering Global Solutions provides network and systems administration; enterprise architecture and resource planning; email operations; certification and accreditation; software design, programming, implementation & testing; maintenance of telecommunications and land mobile radio equipment and systems; help desk support; and IT transformation services.

About this position: Service Order Dispatcher Location – Chesapeake, VA

Wage/Salary Range: $24.84 per hr.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and prioritize incoming service requests from customers.
  • Schedule and dispatch technicians based on urgency, location, skill set, and availability.
  • Monitor technician schedules and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate service updates, arrival times, and work status to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, service calls, and customer interactions.
  • Coordinate emergency and after-hours service requests when required.
  • Track completion of service jobs and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with invoicing, parts ordering, and administrative support as needed.
  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
  • Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages,
  • Rout materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
  • This worker may operate hand power trucks in performing warehousing duties or operating forklift.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High School Diploma
  • Level of Experience Requirements: 2-5 years’ experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Maximo, Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, and apply new knowledge effectively.

Preferred

  • Basic knowledge of government contracts

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
