PermanentFinning Canada is looking to hire a Permanent, Full-Time Service & Operations Planning Lead who will report to the Director, Service Growth & Labour Planning and play a key role in developing a comprehensive labour strategy to ensure the service network is prepared to meet future demand. The role may be based in either Calgary or Edmonton.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Aftermarket, Performance Solutions, Caterpillar, and Operations teams to conduct research and analysis that supports the evaluation of new opportunities and partnerships. Your insights will inform critical business decisions related to strategic investments, enhanced organizational capabilities, revenue growth, and improved operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will develop short-, medium-, and long-term workforce projections at an aggregate level to define network capacity against growth targets. These projections will be informed by key inputs such as Service DCAL, skill distribution, and parts growth targets, with a strong focus on identifying and addressing priority areas to ensure demand is effectively met.

Major Job Functions:

  • Develop end-to-end data analytics, reports, metrics & presentations to support the development and maintenance of a multiyear labor strategy.

  • Analyse and interpret data; identifying patterns and highlighting deviations to generate accurate forecasts and reporting.

  • Prepare formal and informal reports to communicate results of analysis or provide specialized reporting based on business requirements.

  • Develops, manages, and ensures formal tools are developed to publish monthly/quarterly/annual KPIs and other performance targets

  • Present data graphically and effectively while translating complex findings into written reports.

  • Develop and maintain accurate recoverable Headcount reporting, incorporating financial targets and long term growth planning.

  • Communicate and translate quantitative findings (storytelling with data) to support meaningful conclusions and recommendations.

  • Through collaboration with Aftermarket and business groups, provide risk analysis of labor gaps and opportunities in the business using data and analysis.

  • Creating & Interpreting data to drive key business decisions.

  • Responsible for collaborating with analysis team & identifying outliers and patterns to improve planning.

  • Development of actionable insights and recommendations for workforce optimization (Skill Distribution and Quantity)

  • Maintain collaborative relationships with internal business partners to build and communicate plans.

  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Service Operations.

  • Process improvement experience is considered an asset.

  • Competency using software and technology such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint, Powe BI, Salesforce

  • Undergraduate degree is considered an asset.
