Service Manager Foundation Services and Transformation

Shape how Global IT governs, integrates and transforms foundation services across countries, platforms, suppliers and teams.

About Danish Crown and Global IT

Danish Crown is an international food company headquartered in Randers, Denmark. Global IT supports corporate, retail, distribution and production-critical environments across countries. Technology & Operational Services is where services are run, supported and improved every day, and it consists of four areas: Foundation Services & Transformation, Service & Operations, Infrastructure, Cloud & Platforms, and Site & Factory Service.

Foundation Services & Transformation is a new area in Technology & Operational Services. Our emerging foundation service portfolio consists of 12 services, including Modern Workplace, ERP Business Enablement, IT Support, Digital Factory, Infrastructure Services, Cyber Security Services, Identity & Access Services, Integration Services and Data & Analytics Services.

About the role

In the target operating model, every service in scope will have a named Service Owner who sets direction and intended outcomes. Service Managers work with the relevant delivery teams to coordinate how the service is delivered and improved. As Service Manager in Foundation Services & Transformation, you help build that model for foundation services, so each service gets clear ownership, clear interfaces and a clear route to improvement.

What you will be doing

  • Help define and mature foundation services, including scope, ownership, interfaces, dependencies, governance requirements and expected outcomes
  • Establish common standards, governance models, playbooks and operating routines that can be adopted across foundation services
  • Translate approved service direction and roadmaps into coordinated transformation plans, and track progress, dependencies, risks and measurable outcomes
  • Drive service integration across delivery teams, platforms, suppliers and countries, ensuring that responsibilities, risks and handovers are visible
  • Coordinate transition and operational readiness activities so new or significantly changed services can be handed over into stable operation
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for standardisation, automation and simplification
  • Work closely with Service Owners and operational Service Managers, providing the structures and transformation support needed for effective service governance
  • Challenge fragmentation and local variation where a common enterprise approach provides better value, resilience or scalability

What Foundation Services & Transformation is responsible for

It covers four connected responsibilities across Global IT:

  • Foundation service ownership and governance. Clarifying ownership, accountability, decision rights and operating routines.
  • Foundation service definition and lifecycle enablement. Establishing common definitions, standards, governance requirements and transformation principles that support consistent lifecycle management across foundation services.
  • Service integration and transformation. Driving integrated foundation services through clear scope, governance alignment, adoption planning and handover criteria.
  • Standardisation, automation and continuous improvement. Reducing complexity and improving consistency across countries, platforms and suppliers.

What the role requires

Must have

  • At least 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in IT Service Management with service ownership, governance, service levels or lifecycle management
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, business, service management or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Experience with service transition, operational readiness or transformation across multiple teams
  • Experience with service integration in a multi-supplier environment
  • Experience aligning service expectations, ownership and delivery responsibilities with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to turn unclear expectations into workable service definitions and improvement priorities
  • Experience with standardisation, automation or continuous improvement across delivery areas
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident spoken and written English for day-to-day collaboration

Nice to have

  • ITIL or SIAM certification, or equivalent structured service management knowledge
  • Experience with ServiceNow or another enterprise ITSM platform
  • Polish in addition to English

What we offer

  • A specialist role with real influence over how Global IT works, without people management
  • The opportunity to help establish and mature Foundation Services & Transformation while its governance model and ways of working are being shaped
  • Close collaboration with Service Owners, operational Service Managers, delivery and platform teams, suppliers and country organisations

Work location and travel

The role requires regular onsite presence expected (100% office). Travel to other Global IT locations, including Randers, and to selected sites and factories may occur as part of the role.
