The Service Manager for Maintenance Services oversees the execution of maintenance projects within their assigned area. They estimate project scopes, provide technical support to the sales team, and supervise Team Leaders to ensure project completion in adherence to contractual obligations. This role involves managing personnel, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring timely reporting. Adaptability to varying schedules and flexibility for weekend travel are required.
Essential Job Functions:
Technical Acumen
o Estimate and prepare proposals for all projects within the assigned area.
o Provide technical expertise and support to the Sales team.
Organizational Leadership
o Directly supervise the Team Leaders assigned to the Service Manager's area.
o Manage personnel to ensure all projects are adequately manned and contractual obligations are met.
o Assist with the hiring of hourly workers in the designated area of responsibility.
Customer Focus
o Maintain relationships with new and existing customers based on area, region, and company sales strategy.
o Provide project status updates to the MS Area Manager and communicate challenges and recommendations in a timely manner.
Project Execution
o Lead issue resolution at the project level.
o Work with the Area Planner/Scheduler to ensure adequate staffing, tooling, and equipment for all assigned jobs.
Collaboration
o Maintain flexibility in work schedules, which may vary from week to week.
o Be willing to travel on weekends to support client activities.
Continuous Improvement
o Complete all commercial, operational, and company reporting requirements by the assigned date.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
5-7 years in construction, equipment maintenance, project management, or related field.
Efficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Sound understanding of project controls, project risk management tools, and industrial equipment/processes.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience
Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding.
NCCCO Rigger Level II certification preferred; candidates with or without Level I certification may be considered with the expectation to obtain Level II within 180 days of hire.
