What You’ll Do

As Service Manager, you’ll take ownership of all aspects of the service department, including team leadership, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of service technicians
• Establish and improve service department processes to deliver outstanding customer experiences
• Set and manage performance goals for shop efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Review and approve repair orders for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all service work
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while protecting the Rueter’s brand
• Partner with marketing and other departments on promotions, events, and customer outreach
• Monitor technician productivity and time reporting
• Maintain technician certifications to meet or exceed manufacturer standards
• Oversee shop tools, equipment, and annual inventory processes
• Manage consumable costs and ensure safety compliance across all operations

Leadership Responsibility

This position directly supervises all service technicians at the Carroll location, playing a critical role in shaping team culture, performance, and success.

Work Environment

This role is split between office and shop/field environments, including occasional outdoor work and exposure to weather conditions. Use of standard office and shop equipment is required.

• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
