About the role

As a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician at Tesco, covering our Kent and Sussex areas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our environments comfortable, safe, and fully operational for both customers and colleagues.

You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team, responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a wide range of refrigeration systems and equipment. From diagnosing faults to carrying out repairs and optimising system performance, your work will help ensure a seamless shopping experience for thousands of customers every day.

This is a hands-on, mobile role that requires strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to high standards of service and safety. You will be responsible for

As a Service Maintenance Technician in Refrigeration, your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:

  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems to industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and propose solutions for potential issues.
  • Monitor system performance and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate on preventative maintenance programs.
  • Respond to emergency service calls promptly.

You will need
  • Relevant certifications essential (e.g., City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas).
  • Co2 experience (service and maintenance).
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong refrigeration knowledge.
  • Suitable Maths & English qualification.
  • Good communication skills
