We believe our people are our greatest strength. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Accommodation Service Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, located in the Western Suburbs, and manage a team of support workers.

About the Opportunity

In this rewarding role you will have strong leadership skills, a background in Disability and Oversight of a portfolio of SIL Services, and a passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives. You will work collaboratively with families and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports.

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in managing Disability services and the confidence to oversee multiple services.
  • Experience in staff supervision and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills and the ability to work within a budget.
  • Experience supporting people living with disability or other relevant experience.
  • Resilience and experience managing behaviours of concern.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept computer skills with the capability to use client database systems and liaise with teams via email and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with complex decision making.
  • Experience in incident management.
  • Experience in rostering supports and working within SCHADS Award.
  • Ability to prioritise work when working with multiple deadlines to ensure deliverable outcomes are met.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and comprehensively owned and insured vehicle.
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience with budget management and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS practice standards and relevant legislation.
