Be the first warm welcome and the final friendly goodbye for patients, families, and visitors at Saint Joseph Hospital. As a Welcome Desk Service Excellence Liaison, you help set the tone for the hospital experience by greeting each person with genuine warmth, a positive attitude, and attentive service. You will proactively offer assistance, provide directions and escorts when needed, celebrate special moments such as welcoming new parents, and send patients on their way with kind wishes for their recovery. We are looking for someone who is approachable, professional, well-presented, and attentive to verbal and nonverbal cues—someone who can recognize when a person may need extra reassurance or assistance and respond with patience, compassion, and respect. Above all, this role is about helping every person feel welcome, at ease, and cared for from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.
The Service Excellence Liaison serves as a central resource for patients, families, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and caregivers throughout the hospital, supporting a welcoming, coordinated, and responsive healthcare experience. The role extends beyond traditional front-desk responsibilities by coordinating patient arrivals and workflows, facilitating communication among clinical and non-clinical teams, and providing ongoing support to patients and families during surgical and procedural visits.
The position also supports hospital operations through coordination of patient and visitor amenities. Working across multiple service locations and departments, the Welcome Desk Service Excellence Liaison exercises independent judgment, strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to address patient and visitor needs, strengthen the overall experience, and support efficient hospital operations all through excellent personal warm welcomes and friendly goodbyes.
