This position will be responsible for working Savannah Service Center and Backshop Liaison engineering requests and providing direct shop floor assistance. Successful candidate will be responsible for RMC tasks and maintaining deliverable dates and schedules, communication of these tasks and schedules and coordination with other teams required to support customer aircraft needs. Responsibility will also include working closely with Liaison Site support teams to best apply resources in a highly tactical manner to address customer break/fix issues and minimize overhead costs
The following unique skills are required:
1) A fundamental understanding of the sizing, development and installation of airframe structural repairs
2) The ability to effectively lead and support a multi-discipline team of engineers, mechanics, Tech Ops, Quality Control, upper management, etc.
3) Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills and the ability to effectively communicate the organization’s position with external and internal customers
4)Experience with Catia V5 and/or SmarTeam model based design
5) Positive attitude, team building, mentoring and coaching skills, and a desire to produce and promote training
6) Experience in the repair of metallic structure
The following unique skills are preferred:
1) Experience with Aircraft systems
2) Experience with airworthiness regulations in regards to major repairs
3) Experience with static and FDT stress analysis in post-production environment or a production MRB stress engineer
4) Experience with materials, M&P processes and part fabrication
5) Gulfstream engineering experience on GIV/GV/G650 /G500 / G600 / G700 / G800
6) Experience with Composite repair
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 yrs in specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job. Position PurposeGuides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services
