Location: Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Sector: Marine and Industrial Engineering
Salary: To be confirmed
Recruitment Partner: ANT Recruitment
ANT Recruitment is supporting an established Caribbean marine and industrial equipment business with the appointment of an experienced Service Engineer. This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically capable engineer who enjoys diagnosing faults, completing practical repairs and helping customers return important equipment to service.
The work covers diesel engines and power generation in both marine and land-based applications, with a wider equipment remit that includes hydraulics and excavation equipment. You will need to be comfortable moving between mechanical and electrical problems, explaining your findings clearly and maintaining accurate records of the work you complete.
You will contribute to the maintenance and repair of equipment used by marine and industrial customers. The role combines practical engineering with service documentation, customer communication and support for colleagues. It would suit someone who takes a methodical approach to troubleshooting and can remain effective when priorities change.
This is an on-site position in Tortola. Applicants should be prepared to discuss their availability to work in the British Virgin Islands, their technical strengths and any support they would require to relocate. The detailed work pattern and balance between equipment categories will be discussed during the recruitment process.
You may currently work in diesel-engine service, marine engineering, generator maintenance, plant maintenance or a related technical environment. What matters is evidence of relevant hands-on capability: the equipment you have worked on, the faults you have investigated and the repairs you have completed yourself.
Please make your particular areas of strength clear. Experience across the wider equipment remit is useful, and ANT will discuss how your background matches the client's priorities rather than assume that every applicant has the same depth in every discipline.
Salary and the full employment package are to be confirmed. Working hours, overtime, call-out arrangements, travel requirements and any relocation, accommodation, flight or work-permit support will be discussed with suitable applicants once confirmed. No specific support package or start date is promised at this stage.
Send your CV and details of relevant engineering qualifications and manufacturer training to hugo@antrecruitment.net, or contact ANT Recruitment on +44 (0)121 582 4492, quoting Service Engineer - Tortola. Please include your current location, availability and the engine, generator and hydraulic equipment you have serviced.
