Caterpillar is hiring a Service Engineer to lead the p arts authorizations process for all Building Construction Products (BCP) New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and accelerated CPI parts stocking or availability timelines to meet customer back needs.
This role includes development to become a subject matter expert on NPI parts processes, parts serviceability levels, initial parts stocking and regional stocking volumes. Working with global teams to ensure all BCP NPI programs achieve NPI the required parts stocking levels to meet approval to ship targets. Also, the role would enable parts stocking process excellence for customer back critical Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects.
What You Will Do
Develop appropriate procedures and plans to ensure product quality and evaluate results to identify functional deficiencies, correcting design flaws as needed.
Evaluate production processes to identify defects in manufacturing and design. Modify designs to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
Solicit and gathering internal and external feedback to identify potential new products and/or improvements to existing products that improve product serviceability.
Write technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance. Track and manage the status of projects from inception to release.

This position is located in Desford, UK or Clayton, NC
Up to 25% domestic and international travel

Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
