The Commissioning Support Engineer provides centralized remote commissioning support for high-volume rollout and strategic account installations. This role guides subcontracted installers through structured commissioning checklists to validate system configuration, quality standards, and client-specific requirements prior to project closeout.
Operating from the Global Capabilities Center (GCC), the role ensures commissioning tasks are completed consistently, documentation is accurate, and installations meet defined acceptance criteria. Rollout commissioning support is the primary responsibility, with Tier-2 service assistance provided only when capacity allows.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct live remote commissioning sessions with subcontracted installers using standardized client-specific commissioning checklists.
• Verify installation readiness, system configuration, internal labeling, device setup, and required quality standards prior to commissioning signoff.
• Confirm installation scope aligns with Statements of Work, drawings, and client commissioning requirements.
• Guide installers step-by-step through validation procedures to ensure repeatable commissioning outcomes.
• Identify installation deficiencies or configuration issues and instruct corrective actions during commissioning calls.
• Determine when issues fall outside checklist scope and escalate to appropriate engineering or commissioning leadership.
• Complete and maintain commissioning documentation, screenshots, validation records, and acceptance reports.
• Track commissioning progress, outcomes, and recurring issues to support reporting and process improvement.
• Coordinate with rollout engineering and project teams to clarify commissioning standards and client-specific expectations.
• Prioritize commissioning requests to support rollout schedules and installation timelines.
• Provide overflow Tier-2 troubleshooting support for service tickets when commissioning workload permits.
• Maintain accurate records within ticketing or commissioning platforms to support SLA tracking and audit readiness.
• Follow established operational workflows, escalation paths, and documentation standards.

Required Education, Skills, Competencies, Certifications, and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience or Higher.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of AV / IT / Service Desk / Technical Support experience
• Willingness to work rotational or night shifts to support US rollout schedules.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• ​Ability to solve problems and deal with variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
• ​Clear verbal communication skills for guiding installers step-by-step with an expectation of strong call control and the ability to confidently lead live sessions with field technicians.
• ​Open to feedback and direction.
• Accountable, reliable and takes ownership.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• ​Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
• ​Strong attention to detail.
• ​Ability to quickly switch between tasks and work under pressure with excellent results.
• ​Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• ​Excellent organizational skills & ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work in stressful situations as this role operates in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and requires the ability to manage multiple commissioning requests.
• ​Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to execute checklist-driven validation processes consistently.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in live remote support environments.
• Proactively identifying recurring field issues and providing input for process improvement and root cause analysis.
