Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for high-level relationship management and acts as client liaison during delivery of a professional services engagement

  • Responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, and the overall management of the client relationship

  • Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives

  • Develop, implement and enforce budgets, policies and department controls

  • Compile, analyse and report key business and financial management processes and measures to management or external agencies

  • Regular interaction with stakeholders to understand their potential future demands and concerns on service delivery

  • Leads the operation teams to provide support related to customers for the escalated issues, major changes, and quick solution evaluation

  • Interact with other departments and project teams to coordinate the achievement of business objectives and operational improvements

  • Drive process consistency and standardization to optimize operational efficiency & effectiveness and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Identify areas of risk, and recommend solutions and best practices

  • Involve in recruitment process in identifying the right talents for accounting team, manage staff budget and related expenses

  • Take lead in risk management or business continuity planning (BCP)

  • Align the service management framework to the overall Finance Shared Service KPIs

  • Develop SLA monitoring templates for internal and external customer reporting

  • Maintain monthly schedule for resources for each team accommodating for leaves and resource movements

  • Ensure compliance to all service management SLAs and policies

Job Requirements

Education

  • University degree with Finance/ Accounting is preferred

  • Qualification of ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a major companies in change management/ project management role. Business background in Shared Service centers will be a plus

  • Excellent proven managerial skills with minimum of 3 years of people management experience

Skill Requirements

  • Experience in leadership roles

  • Ability to coordinate with other internal departments to deliver seamless service to customers

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers

  • Experienced in handling sensitive issues/ situations and cultural sensitivities

  • Advanced knowledge and use of ERP (SAP is a plus) and office productivity tools (MS Office etc.)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English (e.g. presentation, listening, report writing)

  • Possess essential process knowledge for Finance Shared Service functions

  • Extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of delivering high quality and cost-effective business processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Big Data Analytics, Metrics and Predictive Analytics, Operations Management, Service Level Agreement, Quality and Process Improvement, Issue Management, Service Change Management and Scope Management.

  • Experience in Lean Sigma or OE with accreditation to Green Belt/Lean Expert level.

  • Ability to achieve success while participating on numerous concurrent activities with changing priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g. tact/ diplomacy, adaptable, persuasion, cooperation, ability to motivate others)

  • Excellent leadership and management skills (e.g. planning, organisation, direction of employees)

  • Good counselling and coaching skills

  • Ability to motivate and cultivate strong teamwork
