The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is accountable for the end-to-end delivery ( Including Project Management), performance, and continuous improvement of technology services and products within Corporate Services Engineering (CSE). They are our engineering ambassadors acting as a point of accountability for assigned technology domains, the SDM ensures that business outcomes are met through robust lifecycle management — from strategy and design to transition, operation, and continual improvement.

The SDM operates within a product-led, agile, and DevOps environment, collaborating with engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure technology solutions. They use their business process mapping and analysis skills to champion automation, observability, and iterative improvement, ensuring services evolve in alignment with enterprise strategy and user experience goals.

This role requires strong technical awareness, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business value.

This role demands an individual who demonstrates i ndependent thinking and strong collaboration skills It offers the opportunity to contribute to a reputable and expanding organization, working alongside talented professionals on industry-leading systems utilized by major global enterprises.

This role will primarily provide support within Corporate Services Engineering (CSE), encompassing Property & Facilities, Physical Security, Colleague Services, Procurement Software Access Management, Company Secretariat, Payroll, Technology, and Learning & Development.

Must be willing to work 9am – 6pm UK hours, this role is hybrid working, there is a mandatory requirement of a 3 day minimum attendance in the office.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end service lifecycle, including strategy, design, transition, operation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Architecture to shape technology roadmaps that deliver on business objectives.
  • Apply Agile and DevOps practices to enable iterative delivery, automation, and measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
  • Drive observability, monitoring, and performance management, using data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
  • Lead service reviews and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Manage risk, capacity, and change proactively to maintain service reliability and performance.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, focusing on business outcomes, customer experience, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to optimise total cost of ownership and technology lifecycle planning.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, promoting knowledge sharing and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Asana, Jira, Power BI, Power Apps, and MS Office Suite

Technology Profile/Essential Skills

  • 5 years’ minimum previous experience in project management (Agile/Waterfall) and in team co-ordination / management / stakeholder.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Proven experience managing technology products or platforms across their lifecycle.
  • Experience with SaaS, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and automation technologies.
  • Solid grounding in service management frameworks (ITIL, SRE, or equivalent).
  • Experience of AI project lifecycle, from a technical and project management perspective.
  • Proficient in business process mapping, analysis, and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Asana, Jira, Power BI, Power Apps, and MS Office Suite
  • Strategic ability to define technical direction in the portfolio of products including technical strategies and plans and execution plans.
  • Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking for self learning.

Technology Profile/Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to Cloud-native deployments and infrastructure as code.
  • Understanding of AI/ML integration and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with network infrastructure projects or self-service technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting, APIs, and modern integration patterns.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and other JavaScript libraries

  • Strong Planning, budgeting, organizational and stakeholder holder management, with confidence to challenge preconceptions of outcomes and solutions.
  • Good communication, presentation, documentation, and customer engagement skills with proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Global experience – working successfully with teams in multiple locations simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with delivery and/or supporting Corporate Engineering systems/applications.
  • Experience in large investment banking, financial services or consultancy organizations.

Education and Professional Skills

  • BSC or MSC in computer science or information system.
  • Professional qualification or equivalent experience in project methodologies (qualification by a recognizable institution (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, ITIL, Agile or DevOps).
