What are your contributions to the team?

  • Adhere to General Work Requirements
  • Interview business users to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs
  • Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
  • Write detailed description of user needs and application functions
  • Evaluates proposed changes to existing and/or new applications to identify potential adverse impact upon operations across multiple sites and area(s), and present to Senior Management
  • Leads all phases of project management involving changes to existing and/or new applications.
  • Monitors project activities to ensure project remains within approved budget
  • Facilitates and coordinates the development of an IT application(s) and supporting business processes according to IT specifications
  • Meets with business unit(s) to evaluate whether newly implemented applications and supporting processes are achieving priorities and objectives of business unit(s)
  • Prioritizes, schedules, and coordinates workload and make job assignments for employees in assigned area
  • Evaluates new development technologies and make recommendations for implementation. Re-evaluate existing development tools, assist in establishing and maintaining standards for development tools and managing their life-cycle
  • May lead/direct a small team
  • May provide input for PMP/PDP evaluations of employees in assigned area
  • Coach/mentors others in areas of technical expertise as a means of sharing information, skills growth, and meeting requirements for bench strength. Apprise others of technical performance level in day-to-day assignments
  • Makes training recommendations for current and future project and sustaining requirements
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of IT financial management process (i.e., budget and project funding)

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor degree in Technology, Computer Science, Project management or any other field
  • 8-10 years of experience in business modeling, requirements management, analysis and design
  • Experience with Agile Methodology and Lean Software Development
  • Experience interacting with Project Management organizations to complete documentation for various project phases, including both financial and system related
  • Facilitation skills necessary to elicit and promote the discussion of ideas with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to plan and execute a training plan for the implementation of a new system.
  • Thorough knowledge of IT financial management process (i.e., budget and project funding)
  • Thorough knowledge with Agile Methodology and Lean Software Development.
  • Proven experience with leading and mentoring other Business Analysts.
  • Ability to work multiple projects concurrently.
  • Expert knowledge and proven experience to lead Change Management required for new systems.
  • Proven expert level interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience leading projects with little or no assistance from a Project Manager
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate tasks across several business analysts
  • Ability to lead agile software projects
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Professional and technical leadership and mentoring
  • Training skills necessary to educate employees to comprehend business processes or acquire/enhance skills
  • Experience in systems analysis and technical design using both object oriented and modular programming modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to build use cases, story boards, and models that clearly depict process flows relating to specific requirements
  • Experience building presentations that depict project requirements, project scope, and mock-ups
  • Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle
