While working in the field, this position records and resolves customer service complaintsregardingwindows and doors. The Field Service Technicianattemptsto meet and exceed the customer’sexpectationsin the repair of windows and doors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply withWestlakeSafety Policies
Regular attendance,timeliness,and scheduling flexibility
Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating azero-injurysafety culture.
Perform service at customer facilitiesin accordance withcompany policies and procedures.
Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
Tie workflow to schedule.
Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance,and test tasks.
Diagnose errors or technical problems anddetermineproper solutions.
Producetimelyand detailed service reports.
Document processes.
Operatecompanyvehiclessafelyand use field automation systems.
Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
Cooperate withthetechnical team and share information across the organization.
Comprehend customer requirements and makeappropriate recommendations/briefings
Build positive relationships with customers.
Other Duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply,and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read and understand the U.S. measurement system to a 1/32 of an inch.
Have good hand dexterity.
Be capable of climbing ladders and/or staging and works in heights that may exceed 25 feet for extended periods of time.
Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
EDUCATIONANDOR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
Proven field service experience.
Computer and software experience.
Must have great organization,communications,and time management skills.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possesses a Class C Driver’s license, has a safe driving record andcomplies withevery applicable state and federal lawpertaining todriving.
Clean driving record.
Must have a solid understanding of manufacturing knowledge and practices and be able to adjust according to priorities.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKENVIRONMENT
The employee shouldpossessthe ability to:
Prolong sitting or instationaryposition
Wear allthe requiredpersonal protective equipment (hearing,visionand hardhat protection)
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
Exposure to external and internal temperature fluctuations.
Exposure to sounds or noiselevelsmay beuncomfortable.
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position.
Perform repetitive movements.
Bend or twist.
Wear allthe requiredpersonal protective equipment.
Workatconstant noise levels above 85decibels
Handle,controlor feel objects,tools,or controls.
Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
