Finning is looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our team in Fort McMurray. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting equipment repair and maintenance activities by coordinating work orders, managing documentation, tracking project progress, and ensuring clear communication between internal teams and customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an administrative professional with strong coordination skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair administrative activities from service request through to work order completion.
  • Review service requests to ensure scope, budget, and scheduling requirements are clearly defined.
  • Verify customer account details, credit approvals, service history, and applicable support programs.
  • Track repair progress and provide updates to key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each work order.
  • Attend planning, scheduling, and job review meetings, documenting action items and maintaining project timelines.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, delays, budget variances, and rework concerns.
  • Coordinate site access requirements and training clearances for service technicians.
  • Monitor documentation requirements, including service reports, labour entries, billing information, parts returns, and supporting paperwork.
  • Support work order closeout activities and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with operations, service, parts, and administrative teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Administration, Accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience in a Service Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Field Administrator, Site Administrator, or similar administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of project coordination principles, including scheduling, budgeting, communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, construction, mining, oil and gas, forestry, marine, heavy equipment, or dealership operations is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of document control, billing processes, work orders, and repair administration is an advantage.
