The Opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Service Coordinator to join our team in Rotterdam. In this role, you will play a key part in the execution of service projects and activities, acting as the main point of contact for customers during service jobs and ensuring smooth coordination from start to finish.
You will manage service and warranty projects, handle spare parts orders, and oversee the entire process from planning and resource allocation to invoicing and follow-up. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with strong technical understanding and project coordination experience in the energy or industrial sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Manage service and warranty projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Handle spare parts orders and coordinate shipping to customers.
Oversee the full service chain, including planning, resource allocation, order handling, invoicing, and project follow-up.
Act as the liaison between customers and the company for all service and warranty topics.
Address and resolve commercial and technical inquiries from clients.
Manage and resolve issues and complaints, escalating when necessary, and report progress and unresolved matters to management.
Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s HSE standards and apply all relevant regulations during service activities.
Coordinate the Stand-by Service
Your Background
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management tasks, particularly within service environments.
Strong knowledge of the substation segment and familiarity with transmission and distribution products, commissioning, spare parts, and aftersales service.
Solid computer skills and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as time planning tools.
Engineering degree (Bachelor level or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills in Dutch (spoken and written) are mandatory.
Fluency in English and French (spoken and written).
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
