The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer Lead Consultant undertakes medium complexity projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer Lead Consultant coordinates with architecture, engineering and application teams on complex projects to determine requirements and ensure system enhancements are successfully implemented and monitored. The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer Lead Consultant has broad infrastructure knowledge and deep application knowledge.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure / Service Consultant to support enterprise systems across distributed environments. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing platform stability, integrations, security, and operational efficiency for critical vended software across Windows and Linux systems.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on experience in enterprise environments, and the ability to collaborate across teams and vendors to ensure reliable and secure platform operations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues, implement solutions, and drive improvements
Design environment sizing, application deployment, disaster recovery, and architecture direction for application portfolios and environment support teams.
Develop and maintain application infrastructure roadmaps, bringing together business priorities, infrastructure direction, and risk reduction. Participate in reviews with technology leadership.
Produce and present appropriate documentation as needed, acting as the bridge between the application and infrastructure support teams.
Monitor the current environment/tool status, performance, and capacity using dashboards and reporting.
Provide technical and professional leadership for supported applications and coach junior level Engineers.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to gather requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that meet performance, availability, capacity and resiliency targets for future needs.
Participate in the on-call rotation to provide support for the scheduling package.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure or platform engineering.
Proven experience supporting Linux and Windows environments in an enterprise setting.
Strong hands-on expertise in:
PowerShell scripting
UNIX/Linux shell scripting
Experience working with datacenter technologies (networking, firewall, database, virtualization, access management).
Demonstrated knowledge of security protocols, particularly SSL certificate management.
Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring/observability tools.
Working knowledge of:
Apache Tomcat administration
Java-based systems
Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
Familiarity with:
Enterprise software engineering practices
Enterprise hardware platforms
Cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
Experience supporting batch processing environments and scheduling systems software.
Understanding of change management, project delivery, and operational processes.
Experience engaging with vendors and third-party providers.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is 100,000.00 - 170,500.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
