AVL Italia S.p.A. offers a job in Italy (IT) as

Service & Commissioning Engineer

The Service & Commissioning Engineer maintains, calibrates and repairs AVL products, usually on customer’s site. He/ She delivers professional and customer-oriented services according to defined processes and contributes to continuous improvement of products and services by providing feedback (e.g. CESAR, FSM reports, 8D-Reports, service reports, feedback provided to quality/business units).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to customer satisfaction by reliably performing tasks with guidance and clear communication
• Support profitability by applying standard procedures efficiently
• Assist in growing the service business by forwarding information on cross-selling potential
• Help strengthen AVL’s market position by following instructions carefully and providing structured feedback
• Prepare and support the preparation of own activities under guidance
• Check system installations and safety chains following defined instructions
• Perform calibration of measurement chains and preventive or corrective maintenance as instructed
• Document results using predefined templates and archive system settings with support
• Support handover of system to the customer together with project leader
• Document executed tasks in CESAR or FSM with guidance
• Report observed quality issues to support future improvements
• Assist in analyzing and handling customer requests under supervision
• Provide basic feedback on customer and product observations
• Execute tasks according to training and available documents

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed education (apprenticeship, Meister, General Secondary Education, Secondary college for technical education (e.g. HTL), Secondary college for commercial education (e.g. HAK), university or university of applied sciences (FH), technical university, or equivalent) with a focus on electrics or mechanics or a related field.
• Initial relevant professional experience is an advantage
• Willingness to travel up to a maximum of 70 % percent (per year)
• English language skills (from good to advanced)
• High quality awareness and adequate execution exactness as well as troubleshooting and analytic skills

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience in installation and software upgrade of AVL tools such as PUMA, CAMEO, INDICOM, and CONCERTO
• Familiarity with creation and management of e-cases within service processes
• Proactive mindset with the ability to efficiently manage tasks and unforeseen issues
• Basic understanding of communication and networking protocols in automotive/test environments
• Knowledge of ASAM/ASAP standards is considered an advantage
• Basic understanding of server systems
