The Role:
As a Service Charge Accountant, you’ll be managing the finances of a portfolio of estates, making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with our Estate Management team, external accountants, and occasionally, with clients and leaseholders. This is a great opportunity to dive into property management finance and grow your career in a fast-moving company.
What You’ll Be Doing
Service Charge Budgets Make sure annual budgets are accurate and loaded correctly.
Billing Handle billing for service charges, ground rent, and other fees to leaseholders.
End of Year Accounts Prepare year-end service charge accounts and work with external accountants for review.
Utilities & Insurance Handle recharges to leaseholders and keep on top of tax admin.
What You’ll Bring
Service Charge Accounting experience
Part-qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA is desirable although not essential.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills—you’re comfortable dealing with financial information.
Great communication skills—both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (familiarity with Qube is a bonus).
A team player who enjoys working collaboratively across different department.

We operate a hybrid working model at Encore with 2 days in our Peterborough office and 3 days working from home.
