We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world’s biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact.

What does that mean for you? You’ll be at the frontline of CHEP in a busy, demanding job. Our supply chain team isn’t part of our business. It’s the heart of our business. And you can be the power behind it. We connect 300,000 supply chains for some of the world’s biggest and best-loved brands.

You’ll learn new ways of working, with automation and new technology that’ll help you get the job done – and work smarter. Your safety is our number one priority. The team will welcome and respect you for who you are and will support you throughout your journey of growth and accomplishment. In return, we want you to be hands-on, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

Working as a Service Centre Assistant, this hands-on role is ideal for someone for an experienced production or manufacturing operator who enjoys a variety of physical work, being part of a team, and seeing the results of their efforts each day. You’ll be:

  • Operating forklifts to move product around our yard, receiving and loading trucks

  • Operating our crate wash line, unfolding crates, placing them for machine wash and stacking

  • Washing large bins with high pressure hoses

  • Repairing wooden pallets using power tools, replacing damaged boards, and ensuring quality standards are met

  • Contributing to a safe workplace by following safety procedures

  • Working towards production targets while maintaining high quality standards

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate with afternoon shift allowance, with opportunities to grow through our wage grading system as you diversify your skills

  • 40 hour week - Monday to Thursday 2 pm to midnight, 4 day work week!

  • Career development pathways — learn new skills or progress into leadership roles

  • Team environment focused on safety, collaboration and quality

  • 3 paid Volunteer Leave days per year — perfect for helping out at school trips or community events

  • Access to company share purchase program

  • Opportunity to be part of a global organisation committed to sustainability and innovation

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and genders. If you’re someone who:

  • Has experience operating forklifts, with a current F endorsement and OSH Forklift licence

  • Has flexibility and willingness to learn all operations to flex across areas as required

  • Holds a full NZ drivers licence

  • Values safety and teamwork

  • Has a positive attitude and reliable work ethic

  • Is physically fit and comfortable working on your feet

  • Has experience in a production/factory environment

  • Can meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality

  • Can pass a Ministry of Justice criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
